Best pan con bistec ever!!! And the service was excellent. However, no place to seat and enjoy.

Ño, que rico! To all my Cuban Americans raised on cuban bread and grandmas cooking, do yourself a favor and order a pan con bistec y un batido de mamey from Hialeah's most famous corner store. Don't go to Taco Bell for a late night snack. Go to Tu Pan. Quality ingredients. Home style cooking. Forget glamorous, overly decorated restaurants with overpriced food. La "ventanita" service is something only Latinos understand. Quality over decor. Embrace it, stay humble. You're welcome. You're very welcome. *side comment* After an intense hialeah food taste test, I insist Tu Pan's pan con bistec is way better than the overly hyped, greasy, non authentic, pan con bistec from Sarussi. Sorry, not sorry.

I had just landed from London and was starving. It was almost midnight and I wanted Cuban. I had driven to 2 Cuban restaurants that Google said were open but they were not. This place kept popping up on search. I ordered the Tu Pan Special sandwich $18 version. It was a whole loaf of Cuban bread with beef steak, ham & mozzarella with potato sticks. It smelled great with all the fried onions and the fried garlic. It was delicious. It was prepared fresh. They have a big screen showing the ladies cooking on the grill. The entire staff was super friendly and fast. I waited about 10 minutes. There were about 5 people ahead of me with large sandwich orders. The service was swift. It's also a Cuban coffee spot as well. It smelled so good in there with the grill going and espresso machine going. It's a walk up counter at that time of night. The inside dining area is open but with no service. I enjoyed my meal later at the hotel. The sandwich comes in a larger version as well. The $18 version fed me for 2 meals. It was gigantic and scrumptious. Check them out for a late night bite when near Miami International Airport. Also they are open 24/7.

This place is a historic cafeteria of Hialeah. It's located in the center of the WEST part of Hialeah. Their open 24 hours. It may not look like a lot, but if your looking for something quick and delicious then do not hesitate. You don't have to settle for poisoning fast foods. Stop by and check out their Pan con bistec ( cuban steak sandwich *not to be mistaken with the Cuban sandwich). Delicious. This second best place for pan con bistec in town. Hands down. They have fresh croquetas. Their juices are bomb and natural. You have to try Guarapo (sugar cane juice) or trigo (oat). The employees are super sweet, always looking like they've recently just arrived to the states but don't let that look fool you, they will definitely whip you up the best Cuban bites you've been craving

Holy smokes! I'm not entirely sure if people, who rate this place, actually know what homeless people are. Try living in California for a few years and then you'll actually know what a homeless person is. Just cause a guy shows up on a bicycle, it doesn't mean he's homeless, If you want decent Cuban food and pastries at 2am-6am then you've stumbled upon the ideal location. Look at even the bad reviews talking about how good the food is and complaining about something that is outside of their control. Learn to review a place, people.

I recently tried their "pan con tortilla" for breakfast, and it was awesome. While you wait for it to be made curb side. You do see an array of people that gives a fell like you in Havana. Some people just do quick runs for Cuban coffee, while others just for quick laughs. Besides they were cash only the last few times I've been there. I recommend to try the rich culture that Hialeah offers with a cafe con leche or guarapo in hand. While you wait for your breakfast sandwich full loaded.
